Ken Gates
In addition to overseeing the REACH program, Ken is responsible for developing and implementing all Outdoor, Food Literacy, Personal Development, Post Secondary Education, and Community Involvement related programming for REACH. He is also involved in maintaining contact with students.
Ken began running 25 day wilderness trips for Montana Yellowstone Expeditions in 2007. During his summers there, Ken developed a passion for integrating experiential education with sustainability. Having instructed programs in Pennsylvania, New York, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and California, Ken is inspired by those who take the time to appreciate the wilderness through exploration, but make sure to leave the wilderness, and the world, better than how they found it.
Ken’s hobbies include rock climbing, skiing, traveling, and continuously searching for the perfect slice of pizza. When not out running trips for REACH, Ken can be found in his Expedition Room (living room), preparing for his next adventure!
