Over the years, the Orfalea Foundation has partnered with PBS on many of its most successful news programs, with a particular interest in supporting high quality investigative journalism.

The PBS NewsHour is the crown jewel of America's public broadcasting system. Each weeknight provides reporting and analysis to over 1.1 million viewers.The show is committed to coverage in several core areas, including international reporting, democratic institutions, health care, education, the economy, and science and technology.The Orfalea Foundation has provided general support for production of this show.

The Foundation supported NOW on PBS, which was launched in 2002 by Bill Moyers and John Siceloff. When Mr. Moyers left the show in 2004, David Brancaccio took over as host. The show ran until April 2010.

Bill Moyers Journal ran from 2007 - 2009 and focused on the new challenges facing journalism, and the associated issues confronting democracy, with the goal of enriching the conversation with fresh and original voices.
